INTERACTION OF APPLE CHEMIE WITH VNIT NAGPUR AND INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTES
Apple Chemie has a
multi-dimensional engagement with Indian and foreign institutes. Apple Chemie
has joined an industrial association with Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology
(VNIT NAGPUR) for promoting and reinforcing cooperation, mutual exchange of
Information and Technological know- how, joint collaborative work in R&D
projects, curriculum development, internships and placements, infrastructure
development, improvement of research and academic Programmes and also exchange
of experts and researchers. The technical support as well as aid in R&D
work, to help India become a leading global player in the area of smart
industrial technology. Recently we have also enhanced our institute-industry
collaboration by working with Dr Ana
Armada Bras.
Ana Bras has 13 years of
work experience in R&D/Consultancy in the building construction sector and
currently, she is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the Department of
Built Environment at Liverpool John Moores University (UK). She has numerous
research papers published by her in esteemed international journals.
Ana develops research
work in the field of performance-based design (laboratory and
computational-based) for the selection of the best retrofitting solutions using
probabilistic approaches to increase the effectiveness of sustainable solutions
in terms of their service life, and to estimate energy savings and hydrothermal
risks.
Visit by Dr. Ana Armada Bras (Associate
Professor, Liverpool John Moores University (UK)) & Dr. Rahul V. Ralegaonkar (Professor, VNIT Nagpur) at Apple Chemie
INDIA Pvt. Ltd.
Apple
Chemie with VNIT Nagpur and Dr Ana Bras (UK) are working on bio-concrete application with suitable usage of
various ashes in construction industry. Its one of the innovative project of
the Apple Chemie as well as for the Indian Industry. Following the concept of
MAKE IN INDIA Apple Chemie is trying to further explore this field. For this
Dr. Ana Bras visited Apple Chemie R&D lab and manufacturing unit at Nagpur.
She was fascinated by the Apple Chemie work in R&D lab and also gave
suggestions for further development of future sustainaible and enviroenment
friendly technologies.
Apple Chemie is in association with the Industry
Institute Interaction Cell established at VNIT (the then VRCE) in 1989 under
the Industry Institute Interaction Scheme of the Ministry of Human Resources
Development, Govt. of India. The Objectives of Industry Institute Interaction
Cell
The III Cell was established with the following
major objectives :
· To
evolve educational programmes which are consistent with the broad requirements
of the industry and which can give rise to engineering personnel capable of
coping-up with the accelerating pace of the technological development
· To
create adequate facilities of updating knowledge of professional engineers and
technologists to meet growth and developmental needs of the industry
· To
coordinate the research and developmental activities of the two systems
