ACIPL AT INDIAN ROADS CONGRESS NAGPUR


        


Public Work Department, Maharashtra state hosted the 79th annual session of the Indian Road Congress. The four day grand event was from 22nd to 25th November 2018 at Divisional Sports Complex, Munkapur. This was the fifth time that Nagpur hosted this prestigious session. Around 3000 scientific engineers and road development experts from across the country and abroad attended the conference. Er. Vivek Naik, ICI President and MD of Apple Chemie India Pvt. Ltd. was also among the invited dignitaries for IRC Nagpur.
The 79th Annual Session's was inaugurated by Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping on 23rd November 2018. Mr. Devendra Fadanvis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be the Chief Guest and Revenue Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil, RRD Minister Mrs. Pankaja Munde, Power Minister Mr. Chandrashekhar Bawankule, PWD Minister (MSRDC) Mr. Eknathrao Shinde, Minister of State PWD Mr. Pravin Pote, MOS Madan Yerawar, MOS Ranjit Patil also graced the function. The Ministers of Public Works of all states across country were present at this conference. Union Transport Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari and CM Mr. Devendra Fadanvis addressed the conference.

On 24th November, research paper published in IRC Journal were presented by the experts in 7 various technical sessions. Sessions were held between 11.00 am to 7.00 pm. The Session concluded on Sunday, November 25 with council meeting. In these four days scientific studies and research related to roads and infra were showcased. These studies help decide the parameters related to roads constructions in the country.

At this grand event special emphasis had been given to the people's participation in the convention, and the stalls were made available to the organizations operating in the areas of roads safety awareness. Apart from this, various public events were being conducted by the Public Works Department.

Road consist of basically 4 layers: Sub-grade: The sub-grade material should be clean and free from organic matter and should be able to be compacted by roller, to form stable sub-base. DESIGN PROCEDURES FOR A BUILDING FOUNDATION

Good design must not only be safe but must aim to save construction costs, time and materials. The following procedures should help to achieve this and an ‘educated’ client will recognize the importance of funding this work with a realistic fee. 1.
