ACIPL AT INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ORGANIZED BY INDIAN ROADS CONGRESS NEW DELHI
Organized by Indian Roads
Congress in co-operation with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of
India, PIARC and JICA the “Construction & Rehabilitation of Rigid
Pavement—Current Practice & Way Forward” 2-Day Seminar was held from
January 18-19, with a technical tour January 20, 2019, at Stein Auditorium,
India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, India. All the stakeholder were invited to
attend the two days International Seminar to become partner in road
construction.
The Indian Roads Congress
(IRC) is the Apex Body of highway engineers & professionals in the country
working in close collaboration with the Ministry of Road Transport &
Highways, New Delhi. IRC was setup in 1934 and the Engineers working in
Central/State Govt. Dept. viz, MoRTH, NHAI, NHIDCL, BRO, MES, NRRDA, CPWD,
MoRD, MoUD, State /UT PWDs, PSUs, IITs & Engineering Colleges, Research
Organizations, Contractors, Consultants, etc. are members of IRC.

Pvt. Ltd. Nagpur. Delivered seminar and
a technical talk on “Repair Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Concrete Roads”.
He explained various causes of defects defects /distress during the
construction and also summarized the factors beyond the control like shrinkage,
temperature variations, ASR, impact, accidents and settlements. He further discussed
various remedial measures, old techniques and modern techniques of repairs of
PQC. Various parameters of products proposed for repairs of PQC and some
examples of successful applications were also discussed.
The seminar was attended
by dignitaries from Central/State Government Departments/Agencies,
Manufactures, Consultant, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Organization,
Research/Academic Institutions, Road Sector Project Executing Agencies both
from Government and Private Sector.
