CONCRETE DAY CELEBRATION ICI (KOCHI CENTRE)


                    



Indian Concrete Institute's ICI-Kochi Centre and UltraTech Cement Limited, celebrated concrete day celebration and ICI-ULTRATECH AWARDS on 12th December 2018 at lulu convention center, Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Cochin.
Headquartered in Chennai, the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) is a registered professional body having more than 12, 000 enrolled members, from 38 regional Centers in all major cities, spread across the entire length and breadth of the country. The Indian Concrete Institute was formed as a professional organization on September 7, 1982. The ICI is dedicated to the betterment of concrete, concrete construction in the field and in the field of research. It has been organizing seminars, workshops, lectures and structured training Programmes for the betterment of the knowledge of people in the construction industry.


The auspicious occasion commenced with invocation followed by welcome address  by invited dignitaries. Further introduction of the speakers followed by keynote address by Er. Vivek Naik, National President, Indian Concrete Institute.



Er. Vivek Naik, President, INDIAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE & MD-Apple Chemie India Pvt. Ltd.) was the key note speaker on this occasion. He delivered a technical talk on “INNOVATION IN CONCRETE RERPIARS AND RESTORATIONS (Design, Materials and technology)”. The event was further followed by presentation of ICI-UltraTech awards 2018.

            

The event concluded by award distribution to all the winners for ICI-UltraTech awards 2018 for Outstanding Concrete Structures, Best Thesis, Best Student Chapter and Best Young Engineer of ICI-Cochin Centre.

Road consist of basically 4 layers: Sub-grade: The sub-grade material should be clean and free from organic matter and should be able to be compacted by roller, to form stable sub-base. DESIGN PROCEDURES FOR A BUILDING FOUNDATION

Good design must not only be safe but must aim to save construction costs, time and materials. The following procedures should help to achieve this and an ‘educated’ client will recognize the importance of funding this work with a realistic fee. 1.
